About Spina Bifida
Spina Bifida is a neural tube birth defect that occurs when the spinal column does not form properly. People may be minimally affected or may face multiple complications related to Spina Bifida throughout their life. It is the most common permanently disabling birth defect in the United States impacting nearly 200,000 individuals. The Spina Bifida Association of North Texas (SBANT) provides information, resources, assistance, advocacy, support and connections to help all those affected by Spina Bifida.
